Team Trial It's No PvP
PvP is Champion Meeting
PvP is Acceleration Game ✋🗿🤚

The effect of green skills (speed up) is not halved even if the speed stat is over 1200.
speed 1200 + green skill (single circle) = speed 1240
speed 1200 + green skill (double circle) = speed 1260
Green skills are highly valued in the Champions Meeting of JP server.

Winning accupuncturist is 60% success and gives you both of the skills for free not just hints, its very good. Also the fail on it is not good but is only -20 energy and -2 mood and no negative effect. The first and third ones really suck because they also give you a negative effect on top of losing energy and mood.

As a visual learner. LOVED this video, insanely knowledgeable even with the rough English. Showing the graph and explaining what does what when made it so much easier to grasp than just talking about the skill description.

Was about to dismiss this because I don't watch reaction content…
Damn, was this useful.
I highly suggest excluding the word "reaction" from any video where you are elaborating and explaining stuff. "Deep Dive" is good on it's own.

Think the reasoning for Trials not being entirely considered PvP is that you don't necessarily need to win against the opponent to do well. But that isn't entirely true either. You don't need 1st, that is very true. But you do at least need all 3 of your girls to get in the top 5. So you need to beat at least two of the their enemy Umas to do well on points. Getting top 6 is easy, the NPCs are filler, getting one of your opponent's Uma to be 6th, not as easy.
But once you are consistently placing between 1st and 5th, with good skill activations, you'll make 100k point runs even without winning 1st place. Sure, to get the 120k runs, you'll need 1st, 2nd, 3rd, but that is top 100 territory.
You don't need that to get into Class 6. Its more a spreadsheet mode than worrying about what your opponent has.
On the other hand, I still consider it PvP because the best way to get max points is to spam opponent refresh, find someone with a much higher Rank score than you with nothing but 1-2* Umas without their G1 outfits as their Aces, pop that Mood boost item, and hope they are one of those Rank inflators with A-A+ rank umas with nothing but 1200 Speed/1200 Wit and not enough Stamina to finish the race.
That way you get 1st,2nd,3rd bonus AND the massive Opponent rank boost to your score. In that way, yes, definitely a PvP mode.

In hindsight this explains why the Oguri Cap that I trained for Dirt Races is so scary with the Shooting Star skill from Special Week.
Always activates just before the last spurt and the Triumphant Pulse is just pure icing on the cake.

The power vs stamina thing is actually quite an important thing to know in depth. I'd certainly need more data to have a clear "this is better" attitude about it.
If the issue is "you accelerate later" due to low stamina. Then the solution is either to bump up stamina to accelerate earlier OR to accelerate later, but have MORE acceleration. That's how that equation would work. So that's why that person asked about the role power plays in this.
And that gets compounded with the whole "what style are you playing and how many of that style are around", since it makes passing more/less valuable.
Otherwise the lesson given here would be "power is worthless, build late surger with max stamina and you win" and that clearly can't be the case.

31:05 “This is not the difference in distance” 🤦 It’s a speed vertical axis time horizontal axis graph and distance traveled is speed * time. Area under the curve at any point on the horizontal axis is by definition distance traveled up to that point (which means the difference IS difference in distance and chatter is correct)

Umamusume is a Wit game, and if you're blocked, you're blocked.
:
@ 9:08 I believe they meant to ask whether having power (and acceleration skills?) could potentially overcome the later spurt start by "catapulting" you to top speed fast enough to make up the distance. I would doubt that, unless the lead Uma sacrificed speed for stam

39:16 Whether or not whipping will hurt the horse usually depends on the jockey. Whipping is used as a signal, or a means to encourage or communicate to the horses that it's time to accelerate, which means how hard you whip doesnt matter as long as the signal is conveyed. Hurting horses while whipping usually only happens among inexperienced jockeys, like in the case of TM Opera O's jockey during their Tokyo Yushun race

My debuff horse is basically just my lone wolf check so if nobody else has it she is fast AF but if not should still place.
:
12:20 Not only your spurt start "later" but when you do spurt, your top speed is also "lower" (cannot reach that 1200 line even if you have 1200 speed)
:
16:48 bruh I actually got an ad here

7:15 I think it scales down during URA phase. At least based on when I hit the predictions it seems like you are getting less double circles at times compared to before the URA.

interesting. finishing skills i thought were solid are getting shat on. good to know since im training for A RANK horse girls currently. +1

So if I understand right, looking at the graph from 8:20, the attributes are currently correlated with the following:
Speed = the maximum height of the graph
Stamina = the maximum length of the peak plateau of the graph
Power = the slope of the graph (and positioning, unrelated to graph)
Guts = all-purpose stat modifier that has small effects on all parts of the graph
Wit = modifier for Stamina (and determines skill use frequency, unrelated to graph)

I always go for winning chakra even if it kills me

Champions Meeting could be a more PVP area than team trials but it demand more time, grind and probably some money on banners.
:
I always skip the accupuncturist since it gave me some bad RNG, I might have to do a bit of gamba for them now.
