I’ve lived near where they hold the Kentucky Derby all my life, but I’ve never actually been interested in horse racing until I started playing Uma Musume. Learning that some of the horses in the game were bred in Kentucky has made me interested in learning so many more fun racehorse facts! 頑張って!

グラスワンダー・・・亡くなっちゃったけど、グラスワンダーを嫌っている人って聞いたことが無いな。いやまぁ当時のスペシャルウィークファンは嫌っていたかもしれないけど、今現在って事ね。
中にはグラスワンダーが勝たなかったら芸能界を辞めようとしていた人も、グラスが勝って今やテレビに大活躍しているし、グラスワンダーのレースで勇気を貰ったって人がとっても多い。
自分は競馬民じゃなかったから当時のリアル競馬は知らないけど、YouTubeでグラスのレースを見ると分かる気がする。
時にはゲートに入ってもボーっとしていて、騎手が本当に走る気があるのか？とかの話もあるし、でもゲートを出るとレースモードに入るって感じ。
グラスがレースで掛かったところとか見たこと無いもんなぁ？出遅れは多かったけど。

サラブレッドは現役時代が短いが、グラスワンダーは１年以上原因不明の症状と戦いながらレースに出ていた。もちろん他の馬だって何かしら問題を持ったまま出走させている事はあるだろうけど、原因不明のままレースに出すってのはなかなか無いと思う。
そんな中９８世代で最強の座をスペシャルウィークと分かち合ったのは最高だったと思う。
